Down The TBR Hole TAG #1

Hey guys! Today I am here with a tag I first saw on The Little Booknerds in the Corner, which was created by Lia @ Lost in a Story! I am excited about this one because it is about cleaning our your Goodreads TBR, which I really need to do because I have like, almost 2,000 books on mine. 😩

How does it work?

  • Go to your Goodreads to-read shelf.
  • Order on ascending date added.
  • Take the first 5 (or 10 if you’re feeling adventurous) books
  • Read the synopses of the books
  • Decide: keep it or should it go?
So there you go! That's how it works. 😊 I'm going to start with ten books because I have a lot to got through.

Rebel Belle (Rebel Belle, #1)

Keep. I haven a copy of it and I am finally planning to read it soon after my friend has recommended it to me for years.
Thirteen Reasons Why

Keep. I probably won't like it, but I have a copy of it and I'm curious so I might as well. I probably won't watch the Netflix show though.

The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer (Mara Dyer, #1)

Keep. At first I thought it sounded too creepy and romancy, but my friend who knows me well loved it and really thinks I'll like it. She said the plot is really good, so I think I will give it a try one of these days.

Ship Breaker (Ship Breaker, #1)

Delete. This looked interesting at first, but I think I added it when I was still reading The Hunger Games so I wanted more dystopian books? Anyway it just doesn't look that interesting anymore and some reviews are saying it's kinda tedious, plus the cover is also really boring. I know that's a bad reason to delete it, but still. 😂

The Adoration of Jenna Fox (Jenna Fox Chronicles, #1)

Keep. I'm kinda not so interested in it anymore, but I have a copy of it and it's short, so why not?

Missing You (1-800-Where-R-You, #5)

Keep. This is the last book in the series and the only one I haven't read, and I liked it well enough so I might as well just finish off the series at some point.

Number the Stars

Keep. I've heard it's good, and I never got around to reading it while I was growing up. I like WWll historical fiction, and also it was published in 1998, so if I ever do a challenge where I need to read a book that came out the year I was born, it's nice to know there's one I'm actually interested in! 😜

Go Set a Watchman (To Kill a Mockingbird, #2)

Keep. I liked the first book, and I remember how it was kind of a big deal when the manuscript for this was discovered, so I'm still curious even though not many people like it. Plus I have a copy and I'm just trying to make myself try to read all of the books I actually have a copy of.

Alienated (Alienated, #1)

Ugh. This looked really interesting when I first heard about it, but that was when I was like 16? Now I'm afraid it'll be too cheesy and romancy. Oh well. I have a copy that I've had for forever so I'm making myself read it someday anyway. 😂

Power Play (Kingdom Keepers, #4)

Keep. This is the fourth book in this series and I've read the first three and liked it, plus I'm pretty sure I have a copy so why not?

So that's it for the Down the TBR Hole part one! I think you're supposed to do this once a week, but I probably won't do it that often because it would take forever and I would never have time to do any other posts! 😂

If you have an overflowing Goodreads and want to do this tag, go ahead!

And I'll see you back here on Tuesday!

Bye! ♡

Book Covers:

  1. I like this idea. I think I'll do it too! I really liked Shipbreaker when I read it, back when it first came out. But I never did read the sequel...

Yeah it's pretty fun if you want to clean out your TBR XD.
Awe man, now I feel bad about Shipbreaker being the only one I deleted. XD
