Hey guys! I hope you all are having a nice weekend! 😊 It's been pouring rain here, but I don't mind very much because yesterday I got to sit on the back porch in a hammock with some delicious spice tea and listen to the rain while reading, bundled up in my hoodie and colorful mismatched socks. 😄
Well anyway, there's been a few sugary food related tags going around on the book blogosphere lately, and they have been making me so hungry!
Cait at Paper Fury did the Cake Flavored Book Tag, Ilsa at A Whisper of Ink did the Ice Cream Flavored Book Tag, and I'm sitting over here drooling, 😋 so today I decided to do the Chocolate Book Tag, which was created by Faye at A Daydreamer's Ramblings! 😍
Dark Chocolate: A book that covers a dark topic.
The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins. I mean, let's just be honest, these books are pretty dark. I don't like reading really dark books, but this was the first official fandom that I was a part of, and I kinda got sucked in. 😂
A humorous book I read was probably Real Mermaids Don't Where Toe Rings by Helene Boudreau back when I was in middle school I think. It's a series about a girl who finds out she's half mermaid. 😂 Definitely cute, funny, and light-hearted.
Milk Chocolate: A book that has a lot of hype that you are dying to read.
Um...ALL OF THEM?! 😂 I would probably say Daughter of the Pirate King, but I feel like I've mentioned it too much, so I'll say Eliza and Her Monsters by Francesca Zappia. Eliza sounds kinda like me and the premise kinda reminds me of that Disney Channel movie, Radio Rebel, which I loved. 😊 So, yeah. I definitely want to read it.
Chocolate with a Caramel Center: A book that made you feel all gooey inside.
A book that made me all gooey inside was The Mark of the Dragonfly by Jaleigh Johnson. I loved the friendship between all the characters and the instant sisterly bond between Anna and Piper. 😍
Kit Kat: A book that surprised you lately.
Before I Fall by Lauren Oliver. I really wasn't liking any of the characters at first, and I saw myself in Juliet so it was kinda hard to sympathize with Sam and her friends, and even though I kinda knew how it was gonna end, it still ripped my heart out and stomped on it! 😩 I ended up giving it four stars anyway just for the ending.
Snickers: A book that you are going nuts about.
Okay, I would be lying if I didn't say Steelheart by Brandon Sanderson. I know I have talked about it before, but I can't help it. It's been over a year since I've read it, and it's still one of my favorites! Please. Just...go read it! 😄😄😄
Hot Chocolate: What book do you go to for a comfort read?
I haven't even finished this series yet, but I know already that I'm going to want to reread it from the beginning once I'm done! I love this series, the characters are so relatable, they grow on you and with you, and I love the writing! I don't even know why, it just really feels like I know the characters in real life and that they're my friends, and it's just really fun to read. 😊
Box of Chocolates: A series you have read that has a wide variety and a little something for everyone.
This was a hard question, but the only series I can think of that might work is The Gallagher Girls series by Ally Carter. It has humor, romance, action, sass, and kick-butt heriones, what more could you want? 😉
I hope you enjoyed this post! Do you like chocolate as much as I do? 😋 What is your favorite type of chocolate? I love dark chocolate! Have you read any of these books? Feel free to do this tag! 😊
